The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

President praises Sweden's efforts for realizing peace in Yemen

President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi has praised efforts exerted and still exerted by Swedish Kingdom for realizing peace and stability in Yemen through keenness and following up implementation of Stockholm Agreement it sponsored between the government and Houthis.

Receiving Wednesday Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ann Linde and the accompanying delegation, President Hadi pointed to government's commitment to the articles of the agreement, which has been faced by Houthi militia obstinacy for a whole year.

" The coupists have never submit to peace and have no willing to do so only after they feel a need to maneuvers to realize aims and ends to get time for preparations to a new battlefield as happened today in their inclusive war in Marib, Jawf, Taiz, Sa'ada, Dhale', Baidha'a and other provinces," said president.

He pointed to his permanent keenness for peace and providing concessions for realizing it as peace "our goal and our people's choice and the country is not stabilized if it is not realized."

"We will work with all for realizing peace aspirations in its different domains and trends and will take all tracks supporting peace and aiming at realizing it whatever difficulties and complications are," he said.

For her part, the Swedish minster expressed pleasure for this meeting, praising president's efforts for peace.

She expressed her country's readiness to provide support and help for realizing this goal throughout exerting any additional effort for realizing this goal (peace) including support to efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen and supporting Riyadh Agreement.
