Minister of Local Authority, the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fatah discussed Wednesday with UK Charge d' Affairs in Yemen Simon Smart and the Representative of UK Development Agency Michel Wilinex supporting livelihood projects and continuation of humanitarian support in Yemen.
Fatah confirmed that the government gives significant importance to heavy-labor programs and development projects for they attract labors and work on alleviating poverty.
He handed over UK diplomat a matrix of relief and development projects to all Yemeni provinces for studying them and providing imminent support to them, pointing out that the government will continue support to donors and international organizations for implementing their humanitarian projects and programs in Yemen.
He praised UK support to humanitarian process in Yemen and supporting humanitarian response plans as UK is the fourth donor providing financial support to response plans, hoping increase support for livelihood and development projects.
For his part, the UK diplomat confirmed his country's support for boosting stability and providing services to citizens, pointing to continuous humanitarian support of his country to Yemen via UN organizations and supporting livelihood and development projects.
He made it clear that his country raised support fund to £ 240 million for humanitarian response plan last year and his country will continue its support to Yemen in different fields.
