RIYADH-SABA
Yemen's Prime Minister said the federal region system agreed upon by Yemen's stakeholders during the 2013-2014 National Dialogue Conference will guarantee a fair distribution of wealth and power.
In a meeting with the governors of Marib, Beidha and Aljawf here on Wednesday, Maeen Abdulmalik said the government is interested in compensating these provinces, deprived and marginalized for decades, with developmental projects.
He also praised the people of these provinces for offering huge sacrifices to safeguard the Yemeni state in the face of the radical theocratic Houthi militia.
He also called for uniting efforts in all the government-held provinces to promote security, attract investments to start, and mitigate the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the pointless war that the Iran-backed Houthi militia maintains.
