RIYADH-SABA
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad al-Hadhrami discussed Wednesday with Sweden Envoy to Yemen Peter Semneby national and regional developments and efforts of the government for supporting peace efforts and UN envoy's efforts.
They two parties also discussed aftermaths of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council's armed rebellion against the government in Aden and other southern provinces.
Al-Hadhrami renewed Yemen's denouncement to terrorist attack against Saudi Aramco facilities, confirming support of Yemen to Saudi Arabia for practicing its right to defend itself and taking any measures for protecting its security and stability.
He pointed to continuous Iranian threat to security and stability of the region and continuous support to its militias and providing them with weapons and funds, as stark violation to international law and relevant UN resolutions.
"Houthi continuous stubbornness and abducting many issues complicating living conditions of citizens and employing them politically are not acceptable," said al-Hadhrami, adding that Houthi militia continuously rejects President Hadi's initiative for opening Sana'a Airport for internal flights, holding Houthi militia full responsibility of continuous closure of the airport.
"It is not reasonable an armed militia overthrew the state takes control of Sana'a Airport and at the same time accuses others of closing it," he said.
For his part, the Sweden Envoy confirmed his country's support to the internationally-recognized government and exerting efforts with active countries for helping Yemen out of its crisis.
He also expressed Sweden's support to efforts of the UN envoy in this regard.
