King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Activities (KSrelief) held Sunday a workshop here on evaluating and monitoring humanitarian work and investigating people access to aid within "Access to Yemen" initiative.
The General Monitor of KSreleif Abdullah al-Rabi'a reviewed mechanisms of implementing the initiative via supporting areas witnessed violations through neutral monitors and using all Yemeni and Saudi ports to send humanitarian aid, demanding the Officer of Coordinating Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to make monthly evaluating report.
He pointed out to Houthi militia continuous violations against Yemeni people without consideration to committing crimes violating humanitarian laws to control power.
He talked about their work to alleviate suffering of the Yemeni people and studying challenges facing humanitarian activity, especially Houthi militia's practices hindering these activities, a matter required calling the international and UN organizations to participate in this workshop to help in talks on handing over aid to the needy people and standing against practices of looting assistances.
For his part, the OCHA's representative in Yemen pointed out that Yemen is the most humanitarian crisis in the world and there are 10 million people on the verge of hunger, cholera spread in 90 percent of Yemen's districts, there three million displaced peopleand more than five million people are in need of humanitarian aid in 75 unreachable districts.
