Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik discussed on Tuesday with Ambassador of Netherlands to Yemen Arman Drouin cooperation relations between the two countries and latest developments in Yemen after Houthi recent escalation against Yemeni people.
Prime Minister pointed to the admirable international role for implementing the political solution agreed upon references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.
He called for more pressure on Iran to put an end to Houthi triggered war in the country.
He reviewed efforts exerted by the government of Yemen- in cooperation with brethren and friends- for alleviating suffering of the Yemeni people over the war and government's positive reaction to all peace opportunities and making concessions for the sake of all Yemeni people.
He pointed to dangers of deteriorating conditions of Safer Oil Tanker in Hodeida and Houthi militia's hindrance of arrival of the UN team to the location of the tanker to avoid a catastrophe.
The government communicates the UN several times for putting pressure on Houthi militia for allowing the UN team to evaluate the tanker's conditions and carrying out necessary maintenance or draining stored oil to avoid leak, he said.
He expressed aspirations for more Dutch and EU support to Yemeni people under current conditions.
For her part, the Dutch diplomat confirmed support of the Netherlands to Yemeni people and its legal leadership in different conditions until realizing peace deserved by the Yemeni people.
She also confirmed continuous support to the Yemeni government and providing of humanitarian, technical and development aid to Yemeni people.
She pointed to her country's concern on conditions of Safer Tanker and will do every possible effort for pressuring UN envoy for intervention for conducting quick maintenance to avoid environment catastrophe.
