Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik stressed the importance of strong cooperation between the government, the Central Bank of Yemen and traders to establish a control mechanism for the prices of commodities and ensuring the access of all people throughout Yemen to food.
He made the remarks as he moderated a meeting that convened the central bank's governor and deputy governor, the Vice Minister of Industry and Trade and other government officials and businesspersons and investors.
Abdulmalik appreciated the importance of Saudi Arabia's $ 2 million deposit and of the local revenues in establishing a strong financial position that contributes to securing the national economy, providing food security and enabling state institutions to carry out their national and humanitarian duties and responsibilities to the fullest.
