Taiz: Several criminals rounded up in Security crackdown

Several criminals wanted mainly for destabilizing public security including by murders have been rounded up in a security crackdown ordered by Taiz's new governor Nabeel Shamsan.
Shamsan ordered the campaign as he chaired a meeting of the local Security Committee a couple of days after his arrival to the city to assume his responsibilities. The campaign mainly targeted marauding assassins and gangsters some of whom had independently controlled corners in the city. The Director of Taiz Security Department Mansour al-Akhalli said the campaign will continue until all the wanted militant are rounded up.
Meanwhile the political parties of Taiz have voiced their support to the governor's decision to purge the gangsters in downtown Taiz and move on later to break the four-year long siege laid by Houthi rebels around the city.
