The federation committed to support Yemeni journalists to unearth and stop Houthi continuous violations.

According to al-Rakan's family, he died two days after releasing him from Houthi prisons and that he informed his family shortly before his death that he was subjected to torture in Houthi's detentions.

The medical tests he received soon after his release showed that he was subjected to severe torture.
