The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Governor of Taiz Dr. Amin Mahmoud discussed on Tuesday with the International Committee for the Red Cross its projects in the province and challenges facing the committee's activities.
The meeting tackled future cooperation and domains in which the ICRC can implement projects in, specially protection, economy, water and health in the heavy populated areas, which are more affected by the war.
Governor Mahmoud praised the humanitarian role of the ICRC for alleviating suffering of the people, confirming commitment of the local authority of international humanitarian role.
He also confirmed providing suitable environment to the committee for facilitating its tasks.
