Minister of Electricity Abdullah al-Akwa and Ukrainian engineers discussed in a meeting in Aden on Thursday the progress of rehabilitation works in al-Hoswah Power Plant.
Al-Akwaa emphasized the importance of expediting the arrival of spare parts in time to ensure that the plant is readied and operated ahead of the hot summer when the demand on power increases.
The government paid the Ukrainian contractor the first installment of its contract price and ordered the competent authorities to facilitate its work, said the minister.
