NCIAHRV, JIAT discuss joint coordination, cooperation
The Chairman and members of the National Commission to Investigate Allegations of Human Rights Violations (NCIAHRV) discussed today in the interim capital of Aden with the Chairman and members of the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) in Yemen ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides.

Presidential decree to set-up Coordination and Follow-up Committee

Presidential decree no (155) of 2017 issued Sunday about creating coordination and follow-up committee to carry out the outcomes of the meeting of His Excellency President Abd-Rabu M. Hadi with Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, His Royal Highness Emir Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Suad.

The would-be committee tasked with coordinating and following-up the implementation of the outcomes of aforementioned meeting in the area of economy.

First article of the decree sated that a committee shall be established called:" Coordination and Follow-Up Committee", tasked with coordinating and following up with the concerned authorities in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to put in place the outcomes of the meeting that brought together His Excellency President Abd-Rabu M. Hadi with Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, His Royal Highness Emir Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

Second article stated that the committee shall be consisted of Minister of Finance Ahmed Obeid Al-Fadheli, a committee chairman, Minister of Public Works Dr Ma'een Abdulmalik, deputy chairman. The committee includes membership of the following: deputy governor of the Yemeni Central Bank Abass Basha, Undersecretary of Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Dr Mohammed Al-Hawiri, Undersecretary of Ministry of Oil and Minerals for gas and oil affairs Aous Al-Aoud, Undersecretary of Ministry of Electricity Khalil Abdulmalik, and Executive Director of Petromassilla Company Mohammed bin Sumait.

Third article stated that Coordination and Follow-Up Committee shall bail out the Yemeni Central Bank with $billion dollars as 'Deposit' to help maintaining the Yemeni Rial's value against foreign exchanges rate; finance purchasing fuels for electricity network in liberated regions for one year in accordance with lists approved by Ministry of Electricity; to initiate reconstruction project; to provide basic services in liberated provinces.

Implementation process shall be commenced on January 1,2018 in the area of electricity, water, health, education and roads.

Fourth article states that the committee is authorized on it is own discretion to ask help from experts, advisors and officials in charge of the government organizations to work out necessary plans and strategies to take in funds and carry out the projects. The committee shall report about its actions to the President of the Republic and Prime Minister.

Final article states that the decree shall be put into effects from the date of being issued on and shall be published in the gazette
