TAIZ-SABA
The international community should bear its responsibility toward the Saleh-Houthi militias forcible displacement of Taiz civilians en mass, the chairman of the Supreme Committee for Relief Aid Abduraaqeeb Fatah.
In a statement to Saba, Fatah said the coup militias' forced "the displacement of the people of several district." "A large number of people have been rendered homeless and in miserable conditions," he added.
Fatah cited "the most recent such displacement occurred in Khawr village, west of the city of Taiz."
"The militias' criminal attacks require a wide condemnation and holding of it responsible for increasing the magnitude of civilians suffering and number of IDPs."
Fatah said the militias have been laying a tight siege on Ashaghadirah district in the northern province of Hajjah denying the local people any access to health or other aid.
Fatah called on the Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Jamie McGoldrick"to condemn the militias' confiscation of humanitarian relief aid convoys sent for the IDPs in Ashaghadirah and Aslam areas in Hajjah."
He said that a large number of IDPs from Haradh, Meedi, Mastaba and Hayran "are living in Aslam camp but endure wretched humanitarian conditions because the militias confiscate the relief aid bound for them to re-sell it" for themselves.
Fatah said the militias bear a responsibility for the deterioration of humanitarian situation in the areas they control.
