Campaign launched to teach dengue fever prevention

A campaign to locate potential hotspots of dengue fever and educate the public on prevention methods was launched in Nisab district of Shabwa province today.

The campaign comes as part of the Dengue Fever Combat, a program funded by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) and implemented by al-Awn Development Foundation.

Coordinator of the of the National Anti-Malaria Program Saleh al-Hamsi said the drive is meant to educate the people about the disease's causes and ways of keeping waters hygienically to prevent the mosquito-borne disease.

Thirty health workers will be involved in the mass awareness campaign, al-Hamsai said.
Senior political and health officials in the district attended the campaign launch
