The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Malaysia Dr. Adel Bahamid met today, Friday, with the Deputy Secretary-General of the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Affairs, Ambassador Dato Dr. Ahmad Mohammed. They discussed Yemeni-Malaaysian cooperation and joint coordination in international forums and organizations.
Bahumaid briefed Mohammed on the political and military developments in Yemen, namely the ongoing "Yemen Dawn Operation", citing its goals aimed at restoring state institutions, eliminating Houthi militias' coup, reinstating security and stability, providing essential services, and creating conditions for achieving a fair, comprehensive and sustainable peace.
He expressed the Yemeni government's gratitude to Malaysia for it's principled and consistent positions in support of Yemen, its unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as its support for efforts to achieve peace, security, and stability.
The Malaysian official reaffirmed his country's stance in support of efforts to achieve peace in Yemen.
He stated that Malaysia is interested in furthering the bilateral cooperation and joint coordination with the Republic of Yemen.
