MARIB – SABA
The Deputy Governor of Marib Governorate Dr. Abd-Rabu Miftah inaugurated a housing project for orphans from displaced families who have moved to the governorate over Houthi Terrorist Militia's war.
The project is being implemented by Al-Wusool Humanitarian Association for Partnership and Development, with funding from the Turkish Waqf Al-Yateem Foundation.
During the handover of the keys to the mobile housing units to the beneficiary families, Deputy Governor Miftah reviewed the components of the project, praising the significant support provided by the Turkish Waqf Al-Yateem Foundation in delivering these more sustainable alternative homes. The project benefits 16 displaced orphan families, helping to ease their suffering, strengthen their resilience, and provide them with a dignified life.
He pointed out the major challenges facing the local authority in meeting the basic needs of displaced people, particularly in the areas of shelter, food, education, healthcare, and water.
He emphasized the importance of intervention by humanitarian partners to support the governorate and enable displaced families to obtain at least the minimum requirements for a decent life.
