Yemen has expressed its full solidarity with Kuwait, affirming its support for Kuwait's sovereignty over its maritime areas and water elevations. This comes after Iraq submitted a list of coordinates and a map to the United Nations, which Kuwait says infringes on its sovereignty.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to international law and respecting the sovereignty of states, including the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (1982) and bilateral agreements between Kuwait and Iraq.
