The Director of the Customs Authority Abdul-Hakim al-Qabati discussed today, Friday, in the temporary capital Aden, with the Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Yemen Mart Adof joint cooperation and coordination, particularly concerning customs exemptions.
Al-Qabati restated that the Customs Authority is committed to ease the difficulties faced by all international organizations operating in the country, including the UNHCR.
"We are very keen to provide all possible facilities for the release of incoming aid shipments at all customs points promptly, in accordance with the Customs Law", he affirmed.
He also underlined the  importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Authority and the commission, particularly regarding customs exemptions.
The UNHCR Representative confirmed that the commission will continue to provide support and relief assistance to the Yemeni people and refugees in all governorates.
