Bulgaria's capabilities for development in the field of artificial intelligence were demonstrated to European Council President Antonio who is on an official visit to Bulgaria.
Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov accompanied the guest to the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) in Sofia, where they got acquainted with the current result of the work of young scientists from 26 nationalities.
The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported that INSAIT Director Martin Vechev presented the Institute's achievements to Prime Minister Zhelyazkov and President Kosta, and noted that thanks to INSAIT, Bulgaria has a serious advantage over a number of other countries, as the Institute and its research are world-class.
INSAIT was established in early 2021 and is the first institute of its kind in Eastern Europe. It provides an opportunity for Bulgaria to become one of the leaders in Europe in the field of artificial intelligence and to participate in the global race in this area, the press release reads.
