The International Media Forum, titled "Islamic Civilization: A New Perspective – New Discoveries", will launch tomorrow, Tuesday, in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent and the city of Samarkand, with a participation of about 300 media representatives and experts from nearly 50 countries.
The Director of Public Relations and the official spokesperson for the Islamic Civilization Center, Otkam Usmanov, said at a press conference held today in the Uzbek capital Tashkent that the forum, which takes place from August 24 to 28, brings together heads and directors of media institutions, news agencies, and TV channels, as well as journalists, producers, researchers, and specialists in creative industries, to discuss contemporary media issues and its role in highlighting the legacy of Islamic civilization and its contributions to the journey of human knowledge.
Usmanov highlighted the main points of the forum and its program, including the general sessions, international media projects, documentaries, publishing initiatives and digital solutions.
He noted that the forum was preceded by professional and educational events, which included meetings with prominent specialists in documentary filmmaking, television, modern media, and digital technologies, as well as activities hosted by higher education institutions in Tashkent.
