Defense Minister Major General Mohsen al-Daeri discussed Wednesday with the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations in the United Arab Emirates Major General Awad al-Ahbabi enhancing cooperation between the two brotherly countries and ways to develop it in military and defense fields.

The two parties confirmed this military cooperation will work to achieve stability in Yemen and the region, as well as to strengthen the protection of maritime passages in Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea.

They also discussed the latest developments in Yemen on the sidelines of the (IDEX) and (NAVDEX) 2025 exhibitions in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.

Major General al-Daeri praised the UAE's active role in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the significant sacrifices made to support Yemen and its armed forces in their critical battle against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias.
