Yemen's national news agency (Saba) has learned that the Presidential Leadership Council and competent authorities have set out on coordinated measures to combat corruption, combat money laundering, terror funding, protect public funds, and the legal prestige of the state.
Law enforcement authorities and audit agencies had acquainted the Leadership Council with such cases under their scrutiny.
The council's chairman Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, based on the council's recommendations, has ordered for investigation procedures in such cases to be swiftly wrapped up.
The Council laid emphasis on the referral of all cases before audit and oversight agencies to courts to for legal actions to be taken.
The Public Prosecution revealed that criminal proceedings had been initiated in more than 20 cases.
