Badhib confers with Harnies over humanitarian growing needs

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'id Badhib held discussions today, Tuesday, in the interim capital Aden with the UN Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs Julien Harnies over the increasingly growing humanitarian needs due to the decline of the humanitarian finances.
The conversations also touched upon the underway preparations to hold the high-profile political forum in New York next July and the contribution of the Yemeni government to it.
Dr. Badhib noted that there are 4.5 million IDPs are in need of life-saving aids and basic services and over 60% of the population are experiencing food insecurity and large number of children suffering malnourishment.
The Minister reiterated the Yemeni government's keenness to enhance the partnership with the UN's agencies, promising every necessary help to enabling them operating smoothly all over the country.
