Governor of Socotra governorate Eng. Rafat al-Thaqali received today, Tuesday, an engineering team from the UN Office for Projects Services (UNOPS) who is visiting the archipelagos on a work mission.
The meeting aimed to discuss the planned solar energy projects to be carried out by the UNOPS in the Island in the fields of education, health and water.
Seven solar energy projects are set to be established in health centers, five in schools and two water wells to be operated by solar energy systems.
