The Republic of Yemen participated in the International Conference on Innovations and Technology for Mine Action and Recovery, held in Tokyo, Japan. The conference was organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Yemen, Oman, Bahrain discuss economic, financial cooperation

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Batheeb discussed Wednesday, on the sidelines of his participation in activities of Economic Forum is being held here, with Omani Economic Minister Saeed al-Saqri aspects of mutual cooperation between the two countries in enhancing joint technical committees.

The two parties discussed issues and topics of common concern and challenges facing Yemeni national economy amid continuation of the crisis over Houthi militia's triggered war.

They confirmed importance of unifying Arab and regional efforts in coordination with UN agencies and donor countries for directing assistances towards financing development project and programs, which will help economic recovery.

Planning Minister Dr. Waed Batheeb discussed also with Bahraini financial minister Salman Al Khalifa means of improving joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

Batheeb touched upon efforts exerted in keeping financial stability and alleviating burdens of state public budget's deficit, praising brotherly and honest position of Bahrain and the Kingdom's continuous support to the government of Yemen in different phases.
