Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik received the United Nations Resident Representative and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, David Gressly, to bid him farewell on the occasion of the end of his term.
The Prime Minister praised the important and exceptional efforts made by Gressly during his period of work in Yemen and the achievements, most notably the implementation and completion of the first phase of the United Nations rescue plan related to the Safer oil tanker and avoiding the environmental disaster that was imminent in the Red Sea.
He stressed the necessity of completing the international disposal plan. of crude oil stored in the replacement ship and closing the transportation line after separating it from the Safer tank.
Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik was briefed by the United Nations Resident Representative, on the level of the international response to the increasing humanitarian needs, and the international trends to enhance the presence of international agencies in the areas most in need due to the influx of displaced people and the effects of war, to respond to humanitarian priorities... pointing to the most important programs and projects that he and his team carried out.
