King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Activities Center (KSrelief) in cooperation with Humanitarian Development Program launched Sunday in the transitional capital of Aden the Life-Saving Food Assistance Project for the neediest families in Yemen for 2023.
The project aims to distribute 119 thousand and 394 food parcels divided into six rounds for 170 thousand and 487 persons from the neediest families in provinces of Aden, Abyan, Lahj, Dhale'a and Taiz.
Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Saleh Mahmoud commended the big role of Saudi Arabia of providing support to Yemeni people, pointing out to significance of the project for alleviating suffering of the targeted families under current difficult conditions.
He called upon international organizations and funding agencies to implement programs of sustainable development, helping in early recovery phase.
For his part, the Assistant Director of the project Suhaib Joban confirmed that the project comes as a swift result of fruits of partnership and meeting imminent needs of food assistances for big group of Yemeni families, who are the most impacted and weakest.
