The Minister of Public Works and Roads Eng. Hussein al-Aqrabi underscored the significant contribution of the People's Republic of China to developing the roads and bridges network in the Republic of Yemen.

He also underlined the need to further increase bilateral cooperation with China in the businesses of the construction of roads and bridges.

Al-Aqrabi discussed today, Thursday, with the Charge d' Affaires of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Yemen, Shao Cheng, joint cooperation in the fields of public works and roads.

The talks also covered the prospects for developing the partnership between the ministry and the Chinese side.

The Minister sought for benefiting from Chinese technical and engineering expertise in implementing and rehabilitating a number of vital projects.

They also emphasized the importance of resuming and activating cooperation in joint projects, and working on completing the procedures related to signing a memorandum of understanding between the ministry and the Chinese side.

The Chinese diplomat stated that his government is interested in continuing cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Roads to serve mutual interests.
