The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, called on the Yemeni people to unite the ranks and uphold the supreme interest of Yemen, so that it enjoys peace, security and stability, stressing that the current conditions are favorable for engaging in peace talks to reach a political solution in accordance with the Gulf initiative and the outcomes of the Comprehensive Dialogue Conference and the resolution Security Council 2016.

In a statement marking the one-year anniversary of the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations, Al-Budaiwi praised what the Yemenis reached during those consultations hosted by the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States from March 29 to April 7, 2022, in which Yemeni leaders, members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, and representatives of political forces and civil society participated.

They reached important mechanisms to strengthen unity, build channels of communication, consultation and reconciliation, and support the economic decision to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and resume the process of development and construction.
