His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, restated that the Presidential Council and the government do welcome Saudi, regional and international good offices to revive the political process and eliminate the Iranian-regime backed terrorist Houthi militias' coup.

In an interview with the London-based "Middle East Newspaper", c His Excellency confirmed that the Presidential Council and government are frequently briefed about the ongoing mediations, affirming that any" agreement or road map will be between the legitimate government and the putschists".

The President recalled the militias' approach in dealing with peace efforts, their grave violations of human rights which went far beyond " all values the Yemeni peoples have been familiar with throughout their long history", saying they won't become politically mature except by abandoning the idea of being divinely selected to rule the people, and abandoning the Iranian expansion scheme".

His Excellency noted that it is very important to realize that the Houthis are minority" They won't get a single vote if elections are held nowadays under the UN's supervision".

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the role of the Coalition in support of legality in Yemen in deterring the Iranian expansion scheme, preventing the militias to take over all the country and preventing Yemen to go to the Somali scenario.
He added " The Coalition contributed to maintain the water passageways under the control of the government and the State's legitimacy, it is an national interest".
He went on to say" At least the Yemenis now have got embassies abroad, international representation and regional and international recognition, a Yemeni citizen today is traveling holds a passport under the name of the Republic of Yemen".
