A meeting held Thursday here and participated by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb and Assistant of the UN Secretary General, the Secretary General of ESCWA Rola Dichti discussed preparing national and economic and social vision in Yemen supported by Economic and Social Committee for West of Asia (ESCWA).

Batheeb reviewed difficult economic situation in Yemen, which resulted in losing of 50 percent of economic activity and institutional and infrastructural capabilities and consumed big portion of its development, praising the UN, ESCWA and all Yemen's partners and donors for supporting the country.

He confirmed that reconstruction, regaining economy, rebuilding state institutions and normalizing life for protecting the state's structure, its institutions and sovereignty, all these require inclusive national vision to overcome war and realize peace and transferring into development and economy.

He pointed out that this vision should include government's priorities led by boosting national efforts for regaining the state institutions, realizing sustainable and just peace and realizing security stability.
