Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik highly praised the US administration's support for establishing security and stability in Yemen and its clear stance in support of the efforts to establish peace as well as American continuous support for the Yemeni government to manage the challenges it has been facing, mainly the economic hardships.

He made his statement as he met today in the temporary capital Aden with the newly appointed American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Stephen Vagin and the US envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking.

Ma'een welcomed Mr. Vagin, wishing him all the best in his mission, promising all necessary cooperation with him to further bolster the American-Yemeni relations and cooperation to serve the mutual interests of the two countries.

The Prime Minister briefed the American diplomats on the government's efforts to improve basic services, implement necessary economic and administrative reforms.

He reiterated the government's commitment to achieve the fair and comprehensive peace.

The newly appointed US Ambassador, expressed his pleasure to visit the temporary capital Aden and to be briefed on the latest developments in Yemen.

He stated that he is very keen to further boost the bilateral relations between the two countries in different fields and support the Yemeni government's efforts.
