Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh received Tuesday Charge D'Affairs of US Embassy in Yemen Katherine Westly discussing with her latest developments and efforts of realizing peace in Yemen.

He pointed out to mutual relations between Yemen and the United States and means of promoting them, especially in field of fighting terrorism, limiting trafficking of Iranian weapons and piracy.

He praised different voices in the United States demanding blacklisting Houthi militia as terrorist group, confirming government's support to this demand, which will help putting pressure on Houthi militia to stop its crimes and return to negotiating table.

He reviewed terrorist crimes committed by Houthi militia against Yemeni people and neighboring countries, escalating piracy, doubling rocket attacks on Saudi Arabia and the UAE and laying sea mines.

He confirmed that this escalation and terrorist crimes by the militia against civilians and women and children require re-blacklisting the militia as terrorist group, renewing support of the legitimate authority to all efforts for realizing peace in Yemen.

For her part, the US diplomat confirmed her country's support to efforts of realizing peace and keenness on Yemen's security, stability and unity, pointing out to mutual relations between the two countries and efforts of coordination and cooperation for fighting terrorism and smuggling.
