The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the final statement issued by the Supreme Council of the GCC at its 42nd session regarding the Yemeni issue.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the ministry highly appreciated the keenness of the brothers in
the GCC on the security and stability of Yemen and their contributions to providing various aspects of support in light of the exceptional circumstances that Yemen is going through.

The Ministry expressed its great appreciation for the the GCC countriesُ support for all efforts aimed at achieving peace and restoring the state from the Houthi militias in accordance with the terms of reference represented in the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue conference, and Security Council Resolution 2216, and their support for the efforts made by the UN and US envoys to reach a political solution in accordance with the terms of reference, and the efforts of the brothers in the Sultanate of Oman that are being made in this regard.

The ministry reiterated its position calling for the importance of completing the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement to unify the national ranks, which will contribute to normalizing the situation, restoring economic stability and confronting the repercussions of the Iranian-backed Houthi militias' threat to the security of neighboring countries and the security of international navigation.
