Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badheib, discussed with the Russian Ambassador to Yemen Vladimir Didushkin and the Chargé d'Affairs of the US Embassy in Yemen, Catherine Westley the possibility of providing more economic and humanitarian support to Yemen due to the difficult conditions the country is going through.

The Minister and the Russian ambassador discussed ways to reactivate the Joint Intergovernmental Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation, which is a tool for developing areas of joint coordination, developing intra-trade and benefiting from the capabilities available to the Russian side to support projects, especially in the fields of energy, agriculture and transport.

The Minister affirmed the government's keenness to enhance areas of cooperation between the two countries, noting the steady development witnessed by the cooperation relations between the two friendly countries.

For his part, the Russian ambassador stressed the importance of moving forward in activating the Russian-Yemeni government committee for economic and trade cooperation, and his country's readiness to provide all available support to support peace and stability tracks in Yemen to overcome the current challenges.
