The International Monetary Fund's mission has praised measures taken by the government of Yemen in financial filed despite current complicated situations and challenges facing the country currently.

In a meeting held via visual communication between Minister of Finance Salim Binburaik and the minister on Wednesday, the mission acquainted Binburaik with results of its meetings and discussions with specialized governmental bodies in financial field and recommendations the mission concluded.

According to the mission; implementing these recommendations will boost government's financial capabilities. The mission confirmed readiness of the fund to provide expertise and technical support to the government of Yemen in financial and economic domains.

In the meeting attended by the Executive Director of the Organization of Speeding up Absorption Donors' Pledges and Supporting Implementation of Reform Policies Ala'a Qasim and a number of concerned officials, Minister Binburaik talked about policies adopted by the government for reducing negative effects on public budget over Houthi militia's coup and the war triggered by the militia.

He touched upon priorities of the ministry for the forthcoming year and its needs for improving performance of public finance.

He confirmed that the new government will have clear plans in economic, financial and cash fields and these plans require support from Yemen's donor partners, praising the mission's recommendations.
