Yemen Aid organization launched today, in the interim capital Aden, an emergency medical supplies project to support covid-19 quarantines and health facilities in the governorates of Taiz, Lahj, Hadramout, Shabwah and Marib.

In a press conference on the inauguration, Assistant Dep. Health Minister for the Population Sector Dr. Ishraq Al-Sobaee emphasized the importance of enhancing community participation in supporting health and coordinating with all concerned authorities to implement such projects, to ensure the continuation of services and health care to confront epidemics and diseases.

The Director of the National Program for Medical Supply, Dr. Suad Al-Maysari, and the Director-General of the Non-Governmental Organizations Department at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Zuhair Hamed, praised the support of Yemen Aid organization for the health sector by providing such supplies.

For his part, the director of Yemen Aid, Majed Al-Hajj, reviewed the organization's goals and areas of intervention in the areas of environmental sanitation, health, nutrition, shelter and livelihoods. He also gave an overview on the coordination of his organization with local organizations that fund projects.
