Minister of Information Mua'mar al-Iryani held Houthi militia full accountability on the disaster, which could happen over sinking or exploding Safir Oil Tanker and leaking of more than a million barrel of crude oil into the Red Sea.

The warning came after Houthi militia neglected all calls and warns to allow to the UN technical team to investigate the long-stranded oil tanker on Ra's Isa Port on the Red Sea.

In a statement to Saba on Tuesday, al-Iryani made it clear that new photos to the tanker show water leaking into it, which could lead to the sinking of the tanker or its explosion, after Houthi militia made temporary measures at the leaking area, adding that the explosion or sinking the tanker will cause the greatest environmental catastrophe not only in Yemen but also on all countries overlooking the Red Sea.

Al-Iryani demanded the international community led by the UN and Security Council to take swift action to avoid the tanker's explosion or sinking and not to allow to Houthis to employ this issue politically or for political blackmailing.
