Prime Minister Dr Ma'een Abdulmalik convened a session on Saturday in temporary capital Aden included members of the High Committee tasked with working out the state's general budget of 2019 fiscal year.

The meeting included Deputy Premier Dr Salim al-Khanbashi, Minister of Finance Dr Ahmed al-Faddhli, Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Dr Mohammed Zemmam and the committee's members.

The discussions touched upon outline guidelines for designing the state's general budgets and factors taken into account in devising the budget.

The Prime Minister stresses the importance of endorsing austere monetary policy, reducing unjustified expenditures so that resources can be devoted to development.

Dr Ma'een underscored the importance of brining all governorates' revenues into the CBY in temporary capital Aden.

The Prime Minister highlighted the need for support by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, largely backed by the United Arab Emirates for the legitimate government to help filling the gap in resources.
