Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation held the consultative meeting for supporting early warning-program organized by Irrigation and Land Reclamation Sector financed by the ministry in coordination with Food and Agricultural Organization.

The early- warning program aims at finding ways of using climate agricultural information and data, managing natural dangers threatening agricultural sector, limiting diseases and lack of controlling insects and diseases harming animals and plants and reporting on them via the program.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Engineer Ahmad al-Zamiki made it clear that eight climate stations will be made for establishing for monitoring in provinces of Mahra, Sa'ada, Raima, Hodeida, Abyan, Dhale' and Taiz for sending information on early warning and reforming nine other climate stations and 26 rain stations.

The stations will also support institutional and technical of the ministry and exchanging climate agricultural data with the monitoring authority and food security unit and FAO for using them in early warning system.
