Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak and Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin held talks today, Wednesday, in Moscow over bilateral relations and collaboration between the two countries, the developments in Yemen and the region.
Bin Mubarak briefed Volodin on the developments in Yemen, celebrated the Yemeni-Russian friendship and robust relations that panned over 95 years.
He stated that the Yemeni government is keenly seeking to further boost cooperation and partnership with the Russian Federation, noting that there many promising potentials in several sectors to broaden and strengthen Yemeni-Russian collaboration to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
The Prime Minister stated that the Yemeni government is very keen to establish active cooperation and partnership with the Russian friends in the areas of energy, power, oil, agriculture and fishery.
Bin Mubarak also underscored the importance of enhancing Yemeni-Russian parliamentarian relations.
The Chairman of the Russian State Duma praised Yemeni-Russian deeply rooted relations, warmly welcoming to boost cooperation with Yemen.
He noted that trade exchange between the two countries increased with 90 percent last year, that means there is significant potentials to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
