Minister of Local Administration Hussein al-Aghbari presided over a meeting on Tuesday included members of the UNDP's Board of Directors of the Enhancing Institutional and Economic Flexibility Project to discuss the map of programs and development projects funded by the European Union for 2024-2025.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Ambassador of the European Union to Yemen, Gabriel Munera Vinals, and a number of representatives of relevant entities and local authorities in the provinces of Aden, Taiz, Hadhramout, Lahj and Marib, the project management team, led by Project Director Peter van de Poel, reviewed all the programs and projects implemented during the previous period, as well as the map of programs and projects for 2024.

Minister al-Aghbari emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination in implementing all the development programs and projects being carried out by international organizations at the level of administrative units in the provinces.

He also stressed the importance of continued meetings and consultations between the ministry and international organizations to overcome difficulties and provide facilitations by the government, which works for all Yemenis in all provinces of the republic without exception.

He expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the United Nations and the European Union, the main partners of the government in strategic development work, affirming the importance of partnership between the two sides in preparing plans and evaluating the level of project implementation.

Representatives of the United Nations Development Program praised the efforts of the Ministry of Local Administration in providing facilitations to contribute to the implementation of development projects and programs for the administrative units in the targeted provinces.
