Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi discussed on Tuesday with Ambassador of the United States in Yemen Mathew Tueller latest developments in Yemen and mutual relations between the two countries.

Al-Mikhlafi expressed concern over deteriorating security conditions in Sana'a and in Houthi-held areas after campaigns of assassinations and arrest by the rebel and sectarian militias.
He stressed that the international community should denounce these unprecedented crimes committed by Houthi militia against anti-militia's coup and rejecters of their practices.

" The Yemeni legitimate government is working in the framework of President of the Republic Abdo-Rabbo Mansour Hadi's call for all national forces to gather behind the legitimacy's umbrella and hard work by all parties…. to face the greatest danger, Houtih militia, and ending the Iranian influence in Yemen and extending helping hand to all political, social and civil forces and parties including General People Congress, whose leadership have been subjected to killing and assassinations and torture by a group does not consider anything but their interests and sectarian agenda," said al-Mikhlafi.

Al-Mikhlafi informed the US diplomat on Yemeni Government's rejection to US president's decision of relocating US embassy to Quds and recognition Quds as a capital to Israel, and considered it a complication to an already complicated situation.

For his part, the US Diplomat expressed continuation of his country's support to Yemen and its leadership and hoped Yemeni parties to come together for mobilizing efforts for facing Houthi danger and Iranian influence in Yemen.

He hoped also reaching a sustainable political solution in accordance with the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the Resolution 2216 for stopping suffering of Yemeni people and realizing peace.
