Riyadh (Saba)- President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Thursday visited King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid in Riyadh where he was received by General Supervisor of the center Abdulla Rabiah.
President Hadi highly appreciated great efforts made by the center, pointing out that its assistances have alleviated the suffering of Yemenis and contributed in meeting some needs of them.
Hadi urged the officials of the center to double their efforts and coordinate with other organizations to support the Yemenis who are facing a very critical situation, referring to the outbreak of cholera epidemic in Sana'a, Dhamar, Hajjah, Abyan and Aden.
He said that the death toll increased to 200 cases and that there are about 17,000 suspected cases of cholera which need an urgent intervention.
"I hope that the center's branch in Aden will play a major role. The center also inaugurated a branch in Marib and the level of coordination with the government's relief committee is good," Hadi went on.
"King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid has become a pioneering successful regional and international landmark and it achieves successes every day. The Yemeni people will never forget these greet accomplishments achieved by the center," Hadi said.
For his part, al-Rabiah expressed pleasure over the visit of President Hadi, reviewing activities and works conducted by the center in Yemen.
He said that the center carried out 187 programs in collaboration with 83 local and regional partners throughout Yemen, signaling out that efforts are being made to control cholera epidemic in various areas of Yemen.
