Marib Dep. Governor calls on UNHCR to increase its interventions in the governorate

Deputy governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbu Meftah highlighted the need for greater interventions by the UNHCR in Marib to respond to the increasingly growing needs of the IDPs, the illegal African migrants and the hosting community.
Dr. Meftah praised the UNHCR's humanitarian interventions during his discussions today, Tuesday, here in Marib city with the Official in the Office of the UNHCR in Aden Erick Griever who arrived in Marib on a work mission.
Mr. Griever said that his visit aimed to get first-hand information about the humanitarian situation in the governorate and further increased the partnership with the Marib Local Authority.
It is important to note that Marib governorate has received the largest portion of the IDPs in the country, establishing 198 camp for them and hosting large number of the illegal African migrants.
