Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Sultan Al-Erada, today praised the positive role played by the Kingdom of Sweden to help solve the Yemeni crisis, contribute to addressing its political, economic and social repercussions, and contain its humanitarian effects.
This came during his meeting today with the Swedish envoy to Yemen, Peter Simneby, and discussed with him the latest developments in the Yemeni arena on the political, economic and humanitarian levels, as well as efforts to end the war and achieve peace.
Al-Erada also discussed the bilateral relations between Yemen and the Kingdom of Sweden and ways to enhance and develop them between the two friendly countries.
He appreciated the efforts of the Swedish government to support the Yemeni people and support the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to overcome the current crisis in the country and end the suffering of the Yemenis through its repeated hosting of rounds of negotiations that took place between the Yemeni parties and its hosting of several international donors' conferences to support Yemen during the past years.
