GENEVA – SABA
The Humanitarian Association for Rights organized a protest and humanitarian exhibition at United Nations Square in Geneva, Switzerland, to highlight the suffering of Taiz city as a result of the siege and war imposed by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.
The event brought together political, parliamentary, tribal and human rights figures, as well as women leaders and activists.
Speakers highlighted the humanitarian crisis in Taiz, restrictions on civilian movement, and difficulties accessing basic services and essential supplies.
They called on the international community to move beyond statements of concern and take concrete action to lift the siege, reopen roads, ensure the delivery of food, medicine, fuel and water, protect civilians, and hold those responsible for violations accountable.
The accompanying exhibition showcased the humanitarian and living conditions in Taiz, documenting the impact of years of siege and conflict on its residents.
The event, held for the second consecutive day, aimed to raise international awareness of Taiz’s suffering and strengthen calls for urgent humanitarian and human rights action.
The association reiterated its appeal to lift the siege, protect civilians, end violations and translate international solidarity into tangible measures.
