Marib governorate witnessed during the past 13 months nearly 1227 traffic accidents, resulting in the death of 86 people and the injury of 436 others, while the material losses resulting from them were estimated at 878 million Yemeni riyals.
According to the report issued by the governorate's traffic police during the period from December 1, 2021 AD to December 31, 2022 AD, pedestrian run-over accidents came in second place, with the number of recorded accidents amounting to 187 run-over accidents. The report indicated that among the total accident deaths, there were 18 women and 33 children, while the injuries ranged from severe, 118 cases, and simple, 318 cases.
