RIYADH - SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Abdullah al-Alimi discussed Tuesday with the Chairman of Consultation and Reconciliation Authority latest developments and the role of the authority in boosting efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council.
Al-Alimi was briefed by Chairman of the Authority Mohammad al-Ghaithi and his Vices Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi, Sakhr al-Wageeh, Jamila Ali Raja and Akram al-Ameri on the program of the authority and what has been accomplished during the past period in unifying national forces for the goal of regaining the state and its institutions.
He made it clear that the government's positive dealing with latest developments of the humanitarian truce and the UN envoy's suggestion embarks on its position for making concessions for the interests of the Yemeni people not for Houthis, pointing out that these concessions reveal to the whole world the reality of Houthi militia's trade with griefs of Yemeni people for private and foreign interests.
He pointed out that the government is now waiting for an action from the international community to take more serious position to punish this group, which detains the Yemeni people and trades with their issue and threatens international peace.
For their part, the chairman and members of the authority confirmed their support to the Presidential Leadership Council and its reforms aiming at honoring pledges of the transfer.
