Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi returned to the temporary capital Aden on Tuesday after consultations with regional and international partners on national and regional developments, and ways to support comprehensive reforms in the country.

Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Tokyo Adel Assanaini met today, Friday, with the Assistant of the Japanese Foreign Minister Mr. Kansuke Nagaoka.
Topics relating to bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries were elaborately discussed.
The conversations touched upon the latest developments in Yemen including the economic hardships and humanitarian crisis created by Iran-allied Houthi militias' coup.
Assanaini expressed the Yemeni government's gratitude to the Japanese government for its support for Yemen, citing Japan's recent two grants one worth $3.3 million to improve Aden harbor and another totaling $10 million through WFP to mitigate the food crisis.
Mr.Nagaoka reiterated Japan's support for the UN-led efforts to make peace in Yemen and extend the humanitarian truce.
